KONAleashes - Leash Review
Looking for a product that is handmade and 100% made in the USA? Well you came to the right place. KONAleashes is a business created by Sean and his dog, Kona. He was inspired when he couldn't find the right leash that would be able to withstand camping, running, action, and pulling he and his husky put on a leash. Soon Sean and Kona created the perfect durable, unique leash. KONAleashes also supports animal shelters by donating 1lbs of dog food for every item sold-- that sounds like a win-win situation to me. This is why my mom decided to buy me one.
This is my first KONAleash my mom purchased-- a 4 foot, large carabiner "admiral" leash (as pictured above). I absolutely loved this leash! The colors were vibrant and complimented my eyes beautifully. The climbing rope aspect gives awesome aspect of style and comfort for you and your pup. The carabiner clip gives also gives these leashes a natural "adventurer" feel, which I LOVED! (and so did mom) As I was only 2 months old when my mom purchased this leash I was heavy into chewing. To my mom's amazement, this leash held together wonderfully, I only managed to leave some chew marks along the rubber part at the ends of the leash. However, a little damage was expected with a new puppy. After surviving the chewing stages of a puppy, I still have my first KONAleash and mom and I occasionally use it when mom feel like I need to be kept on a short lead.
However, as I grew mom felt like I needed a longer leash to accommodate for my rapid growth. This led my mom to buy my second KONAleash-- a 10 foot large carabiner "blue steel" leash (as pictured above). This extra 6 feet gave my mom and I the much needed space and freedom during walks and hikes. I again chose a blue leash, because I love how they compliment my eye color. I love how KONAleashes provides a large variety of sizes, ranging from a 4ft with small carabiner to a 10ft with large carabiner. They also have different styles to choose from such as the classic climbing rope leash, a traffic leash, and even a double walker leash. Don't be discouraged if you aren't looking for a leash, they also offer a small variety of beautiful paracord collars. Along with some graphic tees and stickers!
Another unique thing about KONAleashes, is the ever-changing colors of leashes. They also change what colors of the leashes they offer, which some people may not be fond of. However, I personally like it. It gives me the idea of having a truly unique leash. For example, the "admiral" leash has been discontinued, and replaced with the similar--but different-- "blue steel" leash. If you are lucky enough to get one of these limited edition leashes, you know that you are one of the few owners of a beautifully unique leash. These leashes are on the spendy side ranging from $30-$60 for a single leash, but DEFINITELY worth the price. KONAleashes also offers some packs and bundles, as well as many discount deals and sales. They also have great customer service, responding to customers quickly to help their overall buyer experience.
